Today I finally finished these sweet little babushka softies. They will soon be on their way to a lovely new home. I made them totally from scraps - strips from the dolls quilt, red corduroy that Ive had in the drawer forever, and the backs from some gorgeous linen napkins I picked up at the op shop a few weeks ago.

ohhhhh and I'm not the only one busily crafting for Christmas. My dad sent through some pics of the cradle he has made Jacinta for Christmas.
It is a replica of the ones he made my sisters and I when we were little! I cant wait to watch her tucking her babies in for a nap! I'm sure she will treasure it for many, many years, and it will be even more special because her Grandpa made it just for her.

I love your dolls, and you are right, it is wonderful to be able to give a handmade gift.
I also love that cradle, Possum has a very similar one here that used to be my sister's from long ago :)
